On our 94 dodge 1 ton duelie, my dad and I installed a system that I thought some of you might be interested in. It is a hyd cyl with a small captive air tank mounted underneath along the frame and it has a selonoid shut off inline to the motor. It is plumbed into the pressure side of the old sys. When we change oil the first time after installation of the cyl we added one extra gallon of oil and then started the engine, let it run for a little bit and then close the selonoid to capture the oil in the cyl. Then after the truck has set for awhile instead of doing what cummins reccomends, disconnect hot lead from pumb and turn over til oil pressures show then connect wire, all we do is turn the key on and open the selonoid and you can hear the oil going to the engine, when the guage reads about 40 psi just turn the key to start and wala, you have oil pressure be fore you turn it over to eliminate the possibility of a dry start. Let it run for a few minutes to pressure the extra gallon of oil into the cyl and turn the selonoid off, drive as normal, and you are good for the next pressuriezed start. Just thought some of you might like to know about it.
