Maybe I've read it wrong, if so I apologize now. As I understand it, the only way to get a DTT TC is if they do the install. That would be a long drive for me:D I would certainly need a big snorkle on my truck. Am I SOL? There aren't alot of trans shops, qualified trans shops out here. Am I stuck going with one of those "other guys" that don't give a rip about me or my truck? I guess I should call Bill K. and ask, just curious if anyone has had a similar experience. Thanks!

I think you read it wrong... . There are lots of DTT approved installers around the country that you could use. Also if you are mechanically inclined you could do the install yourself.

In any case you will love your DTT products if that is the route you choose. Call Bill K. he can help answer any questions you may have.

Call Bill and ask who installs them in your area, I have a friend with the 89% TC&VB what a difference over stock, I can't wait to get mine done. :)

DTT install

I just ordered my DTT it was sent to me, had the local transmission shop install it, nothing to it.

And, I love it,,, 91% Bill tried to tell me a 89% was the one I needed, and it may have been, have not tried one in my truck, but the 91 sure is nice!!!!!

Just call them up, they will work with you.

On DTT's new and improved web site I see where they recommend a 91 converter when the power is really up there, I think that's whay bill said that. I talked to Stefan quite a while back and he recommended an 89 for me but now I'm thinking of a 91 cause I do plan on turning it up a bit more than a #8 can do, maybe we should try a 280 plate(don't know the number) and a Piers turbo then go to bigger injectors after we get use to that;)

I installed mine out in the driveway by MYSELF. (My helper was out of town and I was too excited to wait. ) Not too bad of a project until it was time to dead lift the replacement DTT converter into place

... ... ... I plan on paying an approved DTT installer to do my next one.

Hahaha

Hey Joe, Don't temp me. You'd be amazed at the(stupid)things I've done in the past to make my vehicles "better". Thanks to all. It looks like I will be doing it myself, on a lift, with a helper. :)

Yea, that all sounds nice, my wife already thinks I have way overspent on my truck.

Just got the air horns from JC Whitney, Bully/Hadley. "For Christmas"!!!!!

Really my truck does really good with the 91%, when I hit the mountains I unlock and let it climb, like a frieght train!!!!

The main thing I have to do is watch the temps. ,, with 30 lbs. of boost and 1250 deg. of pyro. my coolant temp. can go high on a big pull in hot weather, when it does I just back off until a Ford comes along... .

Have a real good Thanksgiving!!!!!1
