Just bought a 99 2500 and I have a question? I cannot get any FM stations to tune in on my radio. The CD player and the AM stations work fine but no FM. Also the speakers work fine as well.

I will probably have many more questions to ask as I become more familiar with my truck..... Thanks

Either Hemi/Dart's idea, or the antenna wire has rubbed on a sharp piece of sheet metal somewhere and shorted out both leads. I`ve seen this on cars, havent seen too many ctd's to find this one yet. Easy to check, just remove the radio and see if the coaxial cable has continuity across both terminals.

Or, your FM radio could have gone tits up... Wouldnt suprise me. .

good luck

Thanks for the responses guys... .

To get to the face off the dash off do I just pull it off or does it have screws that hold it onto the dash? I was looking at the dash at night and could not see any screws holding the dash plate on. Thanks

Matt

Well,

I got the dash cover off and took the radio out. There was some play in the antenna wire where it goes into the back of the radio. I had to hold the wire just right to get the stations to come in clear. I also noticed that a (black and blue) wire was disonnected from the inner most multi-wire plug. With the radio on and the (black and blue) wire back into empty slot in the plug, the volume dropped to almost nothing. When I pulled the wire back out the volume jumped back up to what I think is normal. If anyone has an idea what the (black and blue) wire is for please let me know.
