Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Bad injector line?

Hi

Yesterday morning early 94 started fine and I got 2 milesand it ran out of power. It would not restart. I pumped the primer button on lift pump and it started started and ran for about 30 seconds and quit. Would not restart. Had it towed home . Changed filter, cleaned pre filter, pumped some more and can't get fuel to fill filter. If the lift pump is bad does that keep the primer button from working also? Stumped.

When you are pushing the primer do you have the little banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter loosened to purge air and so you can see when fuel is getting to it? How many times are you pumping it? I've had to pump mine 40-60 times before. Have you visually inspected you're supply and return lines?

Are you SURE you have fuel in the tank? I know a man who replaced his INJECTOR pump because he couldn't find why his truck wouldn't run. He was out on the road traveling and come to find out someone had drained his fuel tank in the motel parking lot the night before. Drilled a hole in the bottom of it.

Hand priming moves the same parts as the cam or truck running .
Your sig says gauges , but not what gauges , how about a fuel pressure gauge ? or pressure test .
There are a number of possibilities , # 1 - because this seemed to happen all at once , maybe lift pump , I took mine apart & found bad check valves - hard starts at low tank , then a fuel pressure test , showed bad overflow valve [ most of the time a good overflow makes noise at main pump ] .
Then lines , hoses , connection on top of tank can leak , everything from tank to lift pump is a vacuum , so 2-3 lbs of air pressure in tank will show a fuel leak .
