I have a 2002 Dodge 5. 9 Cummins and my problem is this. The truck runs fine but after start up none of my gauges work and all of the warning lights light up. Also the odometer blinks a few times and then changes to read "No Bus". I checked the cluster fues and they look to be ok. Any ideas? Thanks Bob

Hey Bob

Welcome to TDR. I did a quick search + found a post from bobo on 8/12/09. There was a bunch of other posts I didn't look at.

Just go to disscusion forums, click on search on the drop down. I searched "no bus".

Good luck.

I had the same thing happen some months ago to my '99 2500. The cluster check procedure indicated that the cluster itself was OK. It turned out to be the body computer. The problem is that the body computer controls things like the A/C, the power to the alternator field coils to permit charging, etc.

Just changed the CTM (Central Timer Module) on my '02 because of the same problem. Drove for two weeks like that until the part got in. Kept the tank full and GPS for the speedo... . Fixed it right up. Dealer charged about $450 for diagnose and repair. I think you could save by doing it yourself since it is under the dash and easy to get to. Not sure what kind of programming needs to be done however to get it set-up. That might be the most challenging problem. Good Luck!
