Try as I may, there is no way to get a HO in NY for 2004. As much as I like my Cummins in my 2004... I have been looking at the Duramax. Not going to settle for 235 HP when across the bridge they have 305. Anyone know if Cummins is working to "fix" the emissions issue on the HO?

Went down that road. Can't register it in NY. There are a couple of loopholes but not big enough for me to crawlk through.

That stinks but I'm sure you'll be happy with a D/A. I'm happy with my standard output and it's performance but my hat's off to GM's offerings too. How do they compare price wise to the Dodge in NY? Down here they're about $6k more for comparably equipped trucks.

nys dmv doesn't have the problem with the diesel. . its a dodge thing VW does the same thing every few years they do similar. . you can buy out of state if you find a dealer who willl let you buy on some dealers are a pain. . we did this when we bought our tdi . . any how best of luck . . if your in ny do a dealer search for a 2003 my uncle just bought one foa REALLY good price supposedly upstate teh dealers will haggel a lot on diesels but teh hemis are sticker. . seems really weird to me but that was the story i guess not many want diesel up state owesgo / brockport area... he wanted a hemi but dealer wouldn't bubge o nthe price the dealer then showed him the deisel andsaid they would bargain on that. . as they don't sell as quick etc. . so he bought it 2500 ho 48re 4x4 quad cab slt for less the n the hemi. . ha. . weird

Harry G there is a good reason you can't buy an HO in NY. The reason is you're just an average joe! If you were a NYC garbage truck, city bus, or an incinerator in a apartment building that throws 500' colums of black smoke up into the air you would fine. but your not, come up to CT. and buy an HO. I know what you're going through and it's BS.

Reduced emissions

We have been doing some testing of our Turbo Air Guide (TAG) with significant reductions in emissions on the new Dodges. Hopefully some day soon Dodge will at least take a look at this simple product and its potential to lower emissions. You can see some of this information on our information page about the TAG http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/tag

NY, MA, and ME are following California emissions. When the HO is legal in CA, it's legal in those northeast states as well. Stay tuned for January 1 2004.

Believe it or not, the 6. 0 Powerstroke is sold in all 50 states with the California emissions package.

Just can't do the GMC... it's not really a truck. The Ford IS a truck but I've heard too many BAD things about the new 6. 0. I can't imagine that Dodge isn't working hard at an emissions fix so I've decided to hold out for the moment. Too bad there isn't a Cummins in the F350. Now that would be a TRUCK!
