I just got my new EZ tonight and tried to move the jumpers over to level 6. When I took it out for a test drive, the truck performed like it had no box at all on it. I came home and put it on level four and took it for a drive. There was a major improvement. I then picked up the phone and called edge products. Justin told me that most of the newer boxes have had the program removed for levels 5 and 6. They said that they do not advise the use of those levels. I wish I would have at least have had the opportunity to make my own decision. :-{} I feel like they pulled the chain on it. I understand that they never mention those levels in their advertisements, but after hearing about it I was looking forward to it.

My old EZ box had a problem, it would not start up on lvl 6 sometimes. I got it replaced with another and it works just fine now. Thing is though, if there is something wrong and a "sometimes don't work" condition is there, it might be a good idea not to use it. I'd hate for it to up and quit while going down the hwy. For what its worth, its barely noticable power increase over lvl 4.

just my opinion on the matter though :)

Well, technically they don't advertise these settings. These are settings that the guys have either stumbled upon or called edge and asked about. So they are still selling the same product that they have always advertised.

same thing happened to me i was headed out for the weekend figured i would put it on 6 no good all it did was turn the box off. :( no level 5 or 6 on my box. level 4 is enough to slip my clutch though.

if this is level 4

this is level 6

The * refers to the jumper. These settings are done with the pc board on the bottom side. I am not sure which setting is level 5

The only active pins are on the right side of the box, the ones on the left are just holders for the extra jumpers. The levels are as follows:

::: Level 1 -> 40hp

::I Level 2 -> 50hp

:I: Level 3 -> 60hp

:II Level 4 -> 70hp

I:: Level 5 -> 75hp (if available)

II: Level 6 -> 80hp (if available)

Those appear to be the same setting? Did I overlook something or did you have a typ-o?

Your right, somehow my astericks moved around. I had them in the right place when I entered the post. I wonder why they changed

About 2 months ago, EDGE took Levels 5 and 6 out. For those who are looking for 5&6 on the newer boxes and try level 6 (XX:) you'll find that it drops the box back to "0" or stock position. I contacted EDGE and Diesel Dynamics and both confirmed... :mad:

That said... . they confirmed that level 5 :X: and level 6 XX: are not availble any longer, but they didn't say they changed the config to trick us and it is availble w/other jumper settings... .

Probably me just wishful thinking. I'm pretty sure they're gone.

Could it be for fuel pressure reasons?

I was reading on another post (sorry I can't remember which one) about the initial testing of the EZ, TST, etc. boxes and the developers were having problems with the fuel pressure dropping to 0 psi under extended period at WOT. Maybe they eliminated 5 & 6 to prevent pump damage?
