I contacted every diesel shop in Corpus including the locations that advertise Cummins parts and service. NONE of them had the filter. Not one of them could find the filter in their catalogs and even worse, some shops told me flat out it doesn't exist! Thank Goodness for Geno's!

That’s strange because I have 2 of them on the shelf in my garage right now!

Go to one of your local Case Farm tractor dealers and check with them. That is where I buy all my filters and they are less expensive than the D/C dealer or even Genos.

That's awful. I think I could make a career training part counter help lately as qualified assistance seems to be a scarce item right now from some of the things I see on here.

I have 8 on the shelf, Daimler has 24 on hand and more on the way, my Cummins distributor has 6 on hand.

Product info here if you want to e-mail it to a few of them... .

Call the local Cat house of all places... lots of them do p/m work on generators of all makes and models... including Cummins and Detroit and usually stock the filters for them. .

Nothing makes my day like Milton Cat calling me for Cummins Parts and then having to give me a PO Number for the stuff. I don't let it go gently... . :D;)

Seriously, it is as Wingate says. They do maintain a lot of the competition's motors in gensets. Worth a call.

I had that same exact experience with the truck shop that does my inspections. I wound up taking a FG round bottom since I was in a jam, and that one was awful dusty. I should have asked what they give customers...

Now that a Dealer name that I have not heard of in a long time. I was involved in a test machine that was sent to Milton in the early 80's when working on Cat skidders, use to call them once a week for updates.

I believe the name of the company started out back in the day as Jordan Milton, then it changed to Southworth Milton, and is now Milton Cat.

Nice company with super employees. My TEPS coordinator, my core guy and the counter personell in general are second to none for knowledge and ability.

I may pick on certain yellow painted engines from time to time but never on the hired help..... unless they are calling for Cummins or Detroit Parts... ... ... ...

We used to say in the oil fields around Odessa, TX that having a Cat dealership was the same thing as having a license to print your own money!! :-laf

These guys should have at least been able to identify it and offer to order it if needed.

Did you look for the old LF3894? Same filter, just does not have the filter nut, if you will on the bottom for the later models.
