Did a fluid change 2 weeks ago,(6qt + filter). Ran fine for a week and got a P0700 after noticing I had no lock-up in third of fourth gears. I have parts from my 47RE and the worked fine when I pulled the trans so I swapped the components(Governor pressure control solenoid, pressure sensor & overdrive & lockup solenoid) and still no lock-up. No codes now and the trans shifts great in every gear, no hesitation and very firm shifts. Could this be a failing TC?

Dis-connect the round 8 pin plug on the driver's side of the trans, mine was full of trans fluid, which was causing shorting between the pins and my TC was not locking up because of it.

In my case the fluid was leaking from the front band adjustment stud, repaired that, then used an aerosol electrical contact cleaner on both ends of the connection(8 pin plug),applied some dielectric grease and put back together, my TC was back to normal, also my shuttle shifting was gone. Something to check. .

My wife would surmise that I have ulterior motives(triple disk of course). I did try to clean and reseat and nothing. I'm going to dropping the valve body tomorrow and inspect for any debris. The magnets have been fairly clean. Will follow up

congratulations! How'd the install go?

A few minor issues (Tools, weather, jack too short), but for the most part with the help of my son it went well:). Just remember to take the transfer case out of neutral before attempting your test drive. Scared the crap out of me.
