another lockup question. now with the dtt converter and with the stocker, the trans hasnt really locked the tcc like it should, I figured it was running

normal only locking in od but rode in my brothers truck and did some searching, and I think I got a problem.

the trans is stock minus the converter and turned up the pressure a lil bit. I cant get the trans to lockup the tcc by itself just driving. I have to play with the throttle to get any lockup in od and no lockup in third.

any suggestions on what I need to check.

are you sure it is not locking?..... it's a lot harder to tell with a tight converter

you could put in a lock-up switch and check it

Tried a lockup switch and it diddnt work like it should, when the switch is on it wouldnt lock up. it only stays locked up with the switch after locking in od.

Its defenetly not locking up, It has locked in third a few times like it shuold and you can defenitly feel a difference

We have not sold a 89 % converter in over a year and a half now . It also has been DTT's policy not to sell a TC without a valve body so first thing is who sold the TC to you ? If you have a serial number we can try and help you figure out what is going on .

I bought the converter from a friend of mine doing a different transmission. thats why I still got the stock vb. the condition Im talking about here happened before the dtt converter also. Im looking into getting a valve body from dtt in the near future also, whats happening here is just something I want to check out first.
