No more 1st gen.

Well this is it! I've sold the 1st gen! After tomorrow night, I'll be having 'withdrawals'. I'm kind of sad to see the ol' girl go. It's been a great truck, and given me 2 years of awesome service. Kind of like parting ways with an old friend. I've really enjoyed all the good advice posted here about these awesome trucks. I just wish I could have kept it, but it just wasn't possible financially. But I liked the truck so much, I'm looking for another one! I know it's not quite the same, but I am looking for a 2nd gen. quad cab. There's alot of reasons for making the change, but to sum it up, it just fits our family's needs better. I hope to find one of the 'rare' 12V trucks. I have to admit I've had 'P-pump' envy for a while now. But regardless of what I get next, I'll always have a liking for leaf springs, lockouts, squares and rectangles!

Ah well, that is too bad, but I kind of know the feeling. If I close my business, I will have to sell one of mine, worse then chosing friends for dodgeball you know Good luck with your truck hunting

Its sorta weird how you get attached to a machine. But when I saw my 89 go it was a sad day as well,:{ even though it was being replaced. I hope you can find your dream rig, it'll be a tough find but take your time.

No I still like the 1st gen trucks and still like looking at the 1st. gen board. Lots of interesting stuff here. I guess it really doesn't matter what the truck looks like, just as long as it's Cummins Powered! It was kinda weird when the guy I sold it too climbed in and drove off with it. I only had the truck for 2 years, but it grew on me.
