Sticker shock or should I say Dealer backstab

ambient air sensor problem?

I was backing my truck up today and decided to see if the horn would go off while the door was open. It did not do this. Did they disable this stupid idea finally at the factory or did I just get lucky? I know I could not do this with my older truck.

I think that aggravating and offensive feature only plagued the '06 models, perhaps '06 and '07s. My '08 C&C doesn't have it.

The reverse horn blowing feature was Chrysler's lame method of compensating for the thing jumping out of park and into reverse.

Maybe they finally fixed the real problem.

Are you sure it wasn't just a way to avoid further attacks by ambulance chasers and wannabe lottery winners?

I"ve never in my entire life driven a car or truck or known anyone who has driven one that would jump out of reverse. Or, for that matter, a vehicle that would accelerate by itself.

A few members of other model year trucks have reported that back in '06 and '07 if a truck went to a dealer for a reflash or repair, dealers were reflashing their trucks without permission to program in the back up horn sound.

Do you remeber the 70s fords jumpimg out of park? Recall was a sticker put on the dash telling you to set the parking brake and shut off engine before leaving.

My '03 doesn't have the dummy horn activated nor does it have the seat belt chime or the "little red man" indicator light on the dash illuminate if the seat belt isn't buckled. :)
