40 mpg Diesel?

so i tried ordering a helix 2 camshaft yesterday, just the normal one not a billet. come to find out f1 is out of stock. i dont know if its a permenant thing or not but i dont feel like waiting. ive found another cam that i think is on par to the helix. im wondering if anyone knows anything about the "big stick" cams from peak diesel performance. i believe hamilton and colt are working together to make the cams and they seem really good. anyone have any thoughts or advice.

One quick note about replacement cams, If you run an exhaust brake, some people have complained about the lack of braking effort with aftermarket cams. Something to be aware of before doing major work like this.

abrankod. i have heard that. i do plan on putting one on eventually and dont see how a cam will affect the performance but we will see.

not sure about diesel's but on gassers hipo cams had an increased overlap. when running an exhaust brake the overlap would more exhaust compression to back out of the intake resulting in less braking power

I didn't notice any difference in retarding power from my exhaust brake after I intstalled my cam. I could see where there would be some reduction with the increased valve overlap, but there wasn't enough for me to perceive.
