I wonder if we're talking about two different tires here. The OEM tires that were on my '04. 5 3500 and are on my '06 3500 SRW are the LTX A/S tires. I had an '01 which came with the LTX M/S. I thought the M/S' were worlds better. Perhaps trucks going to places like CA and others that rarely see snow get the A/S from the factory instead?

TWork,

Michelin does not make the LTX M/S in the LT265/70/17 load range "E". The M/S's I had were worlds better than the stock A/S I have now, but I still have not had any problems int he snow and ice around here. And if you've never been around here, it snows a lot in some places.

Ever hear of the donner party, Winter Olympics, coldest town in in the USA most days out of the year.

My driveway yes driveway before and after driving into it. You see why lots of us Californians need snow tires. Who needs a plow or snow blower when you have 35" Toyo MT's
