Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No numbers!!

Went to buy an 01 quadcab today, got underneath to see which block it had and to my surprise no numbers on either side. Anyone have any ideas why?

i think the blocks manufactured in mexico were cast without out a casting number. not for cetain so dont hold me to it...

They don't all have numbers. The only one you need to worry about is the #53.
