Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) no o.d no speedo??

Ok i replaced trans 47rh and tcase and after about 5 mi i lost speedo and overdrive. I replaced speedo gear/sensor and still nothing. Any advice?

I took vss (2of them actually because i have a spare) put in the end of my drill with key on to see if speedometer changes but nothing. The thing thaat has me baffled is that it worked just fine, i put in new trans and tcase drove 5 mi the speedo started bouncing then died, im going crazy trying to figure it out

Look for broken or pinched wires. Make sure Speedometer is working. Clean out connectors with contact cleaner.

Pointer position frequency

20 mph (+/- 3. 0) 41. 1 HZ

55 mph (+/- 2. 5) 118. 8 HZ

75 mph (+/- 2. 5) 163. 2 HZ

check harness connection at firewall also(for trans wires)

Thanks guys still no luck all wires look fine. Has any one hooked up od switch to work manually on demand? I can do w/o speedo for now

yup. . i have had a manual switch for my overdrive and lock up since 2000,,,,both of which wait for a ground to operate,,obviously 2 separate switches,,,and when the TPS freaks out as it often does,,i can get my od whenever I WANT...

Ok the od and lock up run on same switch from factory right? Mine only has one switch. Sorry this is my first auto

What year truck? Stiill sounds like a broken wire/loose connection.

Sorry its a 95. Ive checked wires to the big harness but couldnt find anything
