On the way to work this morning after using 4x4 to plow through the snow, I noticed my overdrive wouldn't work. I tried cycling through park, back into and out of 4 wheel drive, backing up approx 30 ft and shutting it off. I figuered I would just set the CC and drive at 60-65 mph.

Well, the CC didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Truck is an 03. No codes displayed. Called and talked to service manager who said it sounded like a fuse. The fuse box lid didn't list the od or cc fuse, but I couldn't find any blown fuses.

The only thing different I did was to back up/forward and plow through the snow several times for approx. 100 yards. No unusual sounds etc. and trans temp never got hot.

Have an appt. Wed. Also need to fix windshield washer and have the TB's checked on the trans line and wiring harness connection.

He told me they don't do any reflashes of the computer for these, is this correct and any thing I should know before giving them my truck?

Thanks for the help.

Where is the speed sensor located? I thought about something like that. Would this also disable the cruise control?

Yes it would. some models its located at the top of the differantial. Some its at the transmission. I think 03 up its at the trans. Anyone one else want to jump in on location of speed sensor??Also be sure to look for blown fuse under the hood and at fuse box.

I had the same problem last year. I think its caused by H2O getting past the O-rings on the connetors to the computers. Remember the 03 recall on the connectors? Mine didn't have the updated connectors for the first few thousand miles. I ended up getting the PCM (? I think thats the one?) replaced and a new harness. Dealer was aware of the fix needed after the first phone call.

Try leaving the cruise control on, but not engaged. Sometimes that will get the OD back till you can get it fixed.

I'm taking it in this morning, I'll let you know the outcome. I'm also having the TB for the wiring harness connections taken care of, maybe should have done it sooner.
