Hey there, no OD or LU, got dash code #37- [Open or short in CKT wiring or connectors. Voltage out of range at transmission temperature sensor input.] I've heard you can cross cross the wires with a 700 ohm resistor. Is this true? I tow for a living and this thing does not like hills. I have the TPS deleted with the pot.

On an unrelated note, if anybody knows how to clean out the crank case vent it would be very helpful.

My under standing when you put a "pot' on you only can change up shifts, and you the trans won't down shift so on hills you mite have manually down shift.
But you have a hydraulic trans not and electric one so shouldn't have tps/pot.
Don't think you have trans temp but you mite. Are you the original owner? If not did they upgrade to a 47re or did you? A 47re is an electronic controlled auto trans. The 47rh is hydraulic which Dodge has used in it's vehicles for years. (Yes they both use fluid to change gears. The 47re uses several data sources to decide to up shift or down shift. The PCM receives all the data and tells the governor to increase pressure to up shift, decrease pressure to down shift. The Hydraulic trans does this mechanically.

It is a 47rh I'm sure, that's good to know about the downshifting, I guess I'll have to stick with that crummy tps. and it does have the temperapture sensor, I was just underneath looking at it.

Test drive with a scanner with live data to verify what you are loosing.Your issue could be from temp sensor, wiring ,solenoids ,or mechanical.Just the other day I had one that the solenoid wiring coonecter had leaked and oil soaked the conection.Unfotunately the only fix was to replace the solenoids as it is a 1 piece assy
