I have a 99 with 45000 miles and last week this problem started.

When I start the truck my tach will come and go and sometimes

the engine will stumble, I notice that when I have no tach there is not enough power to even pass a Ford! When I get my tach back the power returns. After about 10min of driving the problem is gone. It does this everytime I start the truck after it has been off for awhile, I noticed that sometimes the lift pump doesn't even come on when I first turn the key on, also I put a digital volt meter across my lift pump terminals and read 6. 5 volts after I bump the starter and 11. 5 volts when I turn the key off after I have bumped the starter. I can't always pull up my DTC codes either or erase them, I have 336, 118, 1689 and 1690.

Does it sound like I may have mositure in a connector?

0336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Signal

Problem with voltage signal from CKP

0118 - ECT Sensor Voltage Too High

Engine coolant temperature sensor input above the maximum acceptable voltage

1689 - No Communication Between ECM and Injection Pump Module

Data link circuit failure between ECM and fuel injection pump. Low power, engine derated, or engine stops.

1690 - Fuel Injection Pump CKP Sensor Does Not Agree With ECM CKP Sensor

Problem in fuel sync signal. Possible injection pump timing problem. Low power, engine derated, or engine stops.

Runs Great!!!
