Was forced to have my truck valet parked ( I know. Never again) Next morning I have no power steering or brakes. I have no leaks near the hydraboost and the power steering fluid is fine. PS pump is a little over a year old.
Could something crapped out from cranking the wheel while sitting still? Need some opinions before I talk to the rep at the resort where this happened. Thanks, RC.

Not necessarily, if the tangs sheared on the coupler the seals are likely still intact. I was wrong about the 200-250k interval. I guess Gould says it's more like 180k but like anything else, maybe sooner, maybe later, maybe never. Hopefully this isn't your problem, changing the vacuum pump is a bit spendy and a PITA.

If it is a rebuild PS pump from a parts store, odds are it has quit. I went through five in one year. I've heard of the tangs breaking in the coupler, but it is not a common problem.

Haven't messed with it yet. I work on a ranch in Az so moneys tight and I have a ranch truck to drive. I'm gonna run out of beer soon though,,,,,
If its the power steering pump, is the hi-flow borgeson pump that Genos sells worth the money or go Napa?
