No power steering...

... only at an idle. when i am in a parking lot or parking on the street or otherwise at an idle condition i don't have any power in my power steering. i have noticed this condition before, but it is getting much worse lately. it is really hard to turn big tires with a winch and bumper hanging on the front:{ i know that the brakes are powered by the same pump, but i am generally not braking when this occurs, i guess next i won't have power brakes either. is there a TSB or warrenty update for this problem?

I get this same condition periodically. Only when cold though. I just start rolling a tad and it is fine. If I had to make a guess though I would say it is a sticking check valve at the power steering pump. Keep in mind though we both have larger tires and it might not be Dodge's fault at all.

thru a problem right now with no PS or brakes. Truck is at the dealer????? If I were you I'd try synthetic PS fluid might cure whatever is sticking. Right at the PS pressure line where the check valve is there is a small orfice I wonder if something can clog that intermittently. LOL
