When I start up I have been blowing smoke with a little engine sputtering. Then that will clear up, but I will have no engine power. I can floor the accelerator, but engine will not rev, will have very little rpm, and no power. Eventually the power will slowly start to build, but it takes about five minutes or more. The transmission will shift smoothly when it gets to the right speed, it just takes a while. Finally the power will just kick in and the engine will work properly. This only happens during the first start of the day, after that it seems to work fine.
If it matters, I recently had an exhaust manifold replaced. Before that I did use injector cleaner, so hopefully they are fine.
I travel full time, and am normally only in an area for a week. Most repair shops seem to be scheduling about a week out, so it would be a help to me to have an idea where my problem is coming from so that I may set up some kind of repair. Anyone have an idea?
