Can anyone give me any ideas on why my power windows just quit. Checked the main fuse all O. K. Is there any other fuse the book don't tell you about. It is not the lock either. It is all windows nothing. 03. stick
There should be a circuit breaker, not a fuse (according to the service manual). If that is ok and there is power to the main switch, I would bet bad switch. Probably faulty within the lock button itself.
Actually, I just had the same problem--checked everything and it was a no-go. Turned out to be the ignition switch needed replacement. The circuitry for the windows feeds through the ignition switch. Dealer replaced it under warrantee, said it was a bad contact in the switch. Had me going nuts trying to figure it out myself, and I had the service manual to look at.
