Hi ... I know what I want to do, it is just how to do it that puzzles me a bit... . so it seems logical to ask people that have already been there.
I have been taking the incremental approach and am ready to do injectorsOo. But how big do I really want to go? I do want more useful towing hp, but I am not (yet) ready to go on a quest for really serious hp... . Unless someone has a really logical reason why not, I want to go with F1, either Mach 1. 6's(90hp) or II's(105hp). This is my daily driver, I tow an 8000# TT, and I realize I will prob'ly have to upgrade my trans (new 10k ago) and, eventually, I may go to a slightly larger turbo.
So, the question becomes... is there really enough of a diff in the performance of the II's and III's to recommend using one or the other? I sure would like to hear from some folks that have tried one, the other, or both. I mean, yeah, why not go with the extra hp? Unless there are drawbacks... . Thanks for sharing your experience and opinion. Paul

I think you mean Mach 1. 6s (90 hp) or 2s (105 hp).

I just went 1. 6s and they are smooth. If you tow regularly I think the consensus is the 1. 6s are the best economy and towable injector.

Good luck!

OK Mach 1.6 it shall be

I think you have me convinced that the Mach 1. 6 is the way to go... altho I had thought about an aftermarket turbo. At present I am not running a box. I have been running a Diesel Dynamics TTPM (a retuned and slightly detuned small Edge box). I had it off due to some interesting dynamics between 40 and 55mph... but I planned to put it back on, perhaps with a smarty later. Why do you ask? Paul
