Say folk's gotta 02 2500 6spd short shifter. Last winter when it got cold the reverse light's did'nt work. But when it got warmer they worked ok. Now it's cold again no reverse lights?

The switch for the reverse lights is on the right side of the transmission towad the rear. I would start there by checking for power at the switch. If you unplug it, one of the wires should have power with the key on. If it doesn't you know it is before the switch. If it does, I would jump the two wires at the plug and see if the reverse lights come on. If they do it is a bad switch. If they don't it is in the wiring to the rear of the truck. Hope this helps... Andrew

It's probably the switch on the transmission. Mine went out and was replaced under warranty. Mine is also an '02

Thank's for the help. I found the switch, had power to it. Jumped the wire, lights came on. Removed the switch and activated it manually, lights worked ok. Reinstalled it works ok. I'll try it maybe it just sticks. Dealer part, have to order $60. My own warranty even though I have 7year 100,000mi coverage. (afe, hybrid turbo,4in straight pipe, injectors and edge race comp. ) twins next!!!
