HELP...

I had a NADP RACE-X trani installed last week and when I started it up this afternoon I had no reverse.

I feels like the clutches are slippng in to reverse and moves a tiny but but has no power. All other shifts seem fine.

The fluid levels seem fine (warm -neutral - parking brake on).

It is cold here ... -9 degrees Celsius. But its not that cold. Truck was plugged in to a block heater ... .

NO CODES THROWN ...

HELP PLEASE >>>>

Will driving it make it damage more... 88km to the shop that installed it. . ?

ANy quick fixes or suggestions????

HELP... .

It sounds to me like there is a problem with the low/reverse servo, band, or piston. The front clutch and rear band are applied for reverse. Otherwise the rear band is only applied in manual low. Drop the pan and check the adjustment of the rear band first. If it is ok look up into the reverse servo looking for a cracked piston or blown out seal. The rear servo can be air checked in the truck but you have to remove the valve body. The rear servo can also be changed in the truck but is kinda a pain getting the band strut back into position once removed. If this is the problem You can drive forward no problem it but I would not use reverse or you might smoke the rear band and or drum. hope this helps.

i couldent have said it better, call 1866 456 4497 ask for rob he will get you in the exact direction-- he builds all of the trannies that come out of there. thanks

Took it in and NADP is calling the trani shop to get sorted out.

They are telling me at least 2 days.

I hope this is the last time ... I dont need more problems like I did with the BD trani's :-{}

Thanks Scott!

I am gonna try to make it out to your GTG... .

If not are U up to a dyno day in London in late Feb?

Just a thought... .

They gave the OK to the trani shop to tear it out and see what the problem is.

If they need parts NADP said they would sent them next day air to get me back on the road.

Fluid smelt burnt and was darkish as they are telling me.

Well they have torn it down and found the revese band burn out... .

In 4 days?

Parts ordered ... should be back on the road for the w/e.
