Just picked up my new '06 Quad Cab 4x4 SWB and have no speed control. When I hit the on-off button on the wheel, there's no "Cruise" light on the dash or anything. It's dead. Any ideas where I can start looking to fix this?

Thanks.

Yes. Right back at your "new" truck dealer. Not being a smart ars but, you paid big bucks for this truck - they cover it. turn around and if you can't have it fixed while you wait have them give you a loaner and I don't me an old beat up Neon. MHO

Congrats on the new truck!!!

Thanks. I just returned home - with a new silver truck.

I took it in this morning and, after the Service Advisor told me, "It will be two weeks before we can even LOOK at it," I went to the General Manager and she hooked me up with the Service Manager. He is a very good guy and hooked a scan tool up. He told me there were a number of things wrong and that it would mean disassembly of the dash and removal of the column. I reported this to the GM and she immediately backed me out of that truck and gave me another, identical (except for color) truck that works fine so far.

I'm quite happy.

:D

How often in life do you get two brand new trucks in the same week#ad
And to boot, for the cost of one#ad

Glad it worked out. Man two weeks to wait for a brand new truck to get fixed. Good thing the GM stepped up to the plate or they could have lost a customer. Good for you good for them. Better for you though, although the color isn't the same I'd say you'll end up better off than keeping the first one. Once the dash is removed and reinstalled the chances of an annoying squeek, rattle, etc. being there goes up 100% than if it was never removed.

Once again Glad it wored out for you and good luck with your new, new truck!
