can any one help out a poor sighted member?
I fixed the rotted rubber line and the steel line to/from the lift pump I also changed all 4 battery terminals. now my speedo and tach are not working and the batteries are not charging . I don't see any loose wires(but that don't mean anything) and I tried to look at the wiring diagram in the service manual but I cant make any sense of it. does anyone have any suggestions on what to check? TIA

First thing I’d check is big fuse in the PDC. If that’s ok, check the Engine Speed (ESS). It’s at the top of the harmonic balancer. Check all connections and wiring.

I found 2 un connected ground wires on drivers side battery and one broken small gauge wire going to what appears is possibly a solenoid there are 2 of them next to each aprox 4 inches under the battery. Can anyone please go out tho their truck and count how many wires go to the battery terminal and which one I have 1 positive and 2 negatives on passenger battery and 4 negative 1 maybe to an accessory but I can't remember and 7 positive plus I I added
TIA

It looks like I got all rthe wires connected I checked all the fuses in the PDC and they are all good. would the engine speed sensor effect the charging system?

ok it appears all the wires are correct. may just be another example of my luck of coincidence. new speed sensor will be here tomorrow. thsmk you

@BigPapa, That's just like when setting "points", or coils against flywheel, you used part of the box they came in for clearance. Most time, worked perfect, few times, I had to get feelers out.

Another helpful trick to add into the memory file box!

Have you checked the connector and wiring to the ESS? If that checks out and the main fuse is good, I hate to say it, but you may have a PCM issue.

I'll double check the factory side but I didn't see anything obvious. Yes all fuses are good. Unless you talking about an under dash fusecivhavent checked those
