I have a no start problem on my 03 2500. Left for work and the truck started and ran great. Shut it off after getting to work and won't restart. Cranks over, lift pump is running, no codes, I replaced the cam sensor last winter but it doesn't set any codes.

I need help. anyone have this problem.

was it cooled down when you tried to restart it, i had this problem a couple of times, and it turned out to be a rail pressure problem caused by the injectors...

I had the crank sensor go out and it did that, no warning. I had to crank it quite a few time before it threw a code.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

After testing numerous things I determined the battery voltage while cranking was too low to get proper signals from the ECM. I tested the batteries individually and one would hold a good surface charge but when load tested twice it would drop off drastically. 2 new batteries later and all is good. I would think it would have set a code but it seems that nothing sets a code on this truck unless it dies while driving. I know about the crank and cam sensors very well. Enough that I carry one with me in the truck. They are the same sensor and cost about $28 from the Cummins dealer.

I am also in the process of installing fuel pressure guages too. It's been a long time coming. I like to be informed.

Again thanks for the ideas. I appreciate it immensely.
