My truck let me down today, fired it up after sitting all day while at work and drove it about 5 miles to the fuel station to top it off for the 100+ mile ride home. Pulled to the pump, shut of the engine, topped off the tank (only 10 gallons, I needed a water for the ride!) and then all crank and no start!!! Worked on it about 45 minutes at the station, pulled off both boxes, no start, pulled fuses for all add ons I put on, no start. Called AAA, towed it to my dealership in Detroit still no start. Pulled all the fuses and wiggled the wires by the MAP and Rail Pressure and all of a sudden after an extended (10 second) crank it fired up! Started it a dozen or so times like normal and drove it 60 miles home. Put both boxes back on and all fuses back in and it is running like a champ again. I'm going back to the dealer to put it on a DRBIII scanner but not too hopefule to find anything. Only code was an 0477 while cranking it at the station. Exhaust Pressure Relay Low???? NO idea what that means!!! Anyone have any idea on what to look for? For now I'm going to check with the DRBIII, clear the codes and drive it till something else happens.
Sorry for the long post but it was a long round about way home from work today!!
