00 24v truck-

Truck died and would not restart- no codes in computer. No pressue from lift pump.

We replaced the lift pump with the 70 dollar special from cummins. Now have good pressure.

However, after 2 minutes of cranking, no start, nothing... . no codes in the computer...

what is the next step ?

crack the fuel line at the injection pump from the fuel filter and cycle the lp until fuel comes out then tighten the line. it should start at this point unless there is excess air in the high press lines in wich case crack the lines at the head (i believe # 1,3 & 5) and crank the engine over till fuel comes out at the fittings (if it starts shut it off) then tighten the fittings and try to start again. I usually crank it over for about 25 seconds at a time and hold the pedal to the floor. hope this helps.

Push the go pedal to the floor while cranking, if this doesn't work after a couple minutes, then you may need to crack the injector lines and bleed them, assuming the VP-44 isn't shot.
