2000 QC 2500 nv4500 4x4, all stock except for 4" strait turbo back. On a clear 55 degree day with the truck warm I went to start it and crank crank crank... no start. Cycle the key and no movement from the "Westach" fuel psi guage. Hmmmm... Next pop the hood check lift pump and filter area for a clue, nothing... Wait and again crank crank crank and no start... Hmmmm. . No problems befour this and a lift pump +- 30k ago,a new fuel filter just installed. I cycle the key and no fuel psi from the lift pump. I think "ok mabey the pump didnt need to cycle this time?" Wait and crank "START!!!!" 15psi @ idle and no obvious running issues. I went strait to auto zone and bought a new lift pump, Y auto zone you ask, because it was the only place open on sunday. I installed the new pump and it dosent cycle up to 15psi at start but it runs @ 12-13 psi. At wide open throttle it wont pull below 5 psi and the old one did. . So new lift pump everythings great..... untill it dose it again! This time I pop the hood and open the fuel bleeder on the filter housing let some bleed, close it, cycle the key and it starts... ... My buddy says "vapor lock"! On a deisel?? He says loosen the fuel cap and listen for a rush of air. I drive for a couple of days and it dose it again, I loosen the cap and hear nothing, then I do my trick but now that dosent work, so I open the fitler housing bleeder and this time I cycle the key and let the fuel blast out. I then shut it cycle the key and it fires up. Could one of you experts tell me what is going on here. . It dosent appear that I have a fuel leak any where and It apppears that this only happens when the truck is warm.

Re:No Start

I haven't pulled any codes yet but, 2day I will plug it in and check it out. I just haven't had a chance yet. Dose this sound like anything you know of?

No codes

I scaned the truck yesterday and pulled the big "0" for codes... Dose anybody have and clues for me? Air in the fuel, but from where?.....
