No start when not in seat?

I opened the drivers side door, leaned in and tried to start the truck, turned over fine and hit a time or two but wouldn't start. I got in the seat, closed the door and it fired right up. Is this another safety feature? Thanks, bg

nope... not that I know of... . anything recently been done... ie... computer reflash, programmer install,. . etc...

Can you duplicate the condition... in other words, does it do this anything you lean in to start?

I do this with my 06 all the time without issue... hmmm...
