Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No start

Working on a 99 auto ... . piston cooler plugged and scored #4 piston,removed engine and overhauled it . Everything went fine .

Test drove 15 miles shut truck off to check everything over and would not restart. Put fuel pressure gauge on and had no fuel. found dead lift pump,replaced lp and truck started. Drove 8 miles shut truck off now no start again. Has 15# fuel pressure and no codes.

Can VP die with no codes?

Mine did, just driving down the road and DEAD. No codes but I had dead pedal minutes before so I figured it was the VP. I had codes with a scanner but none on the odometer.



I hope for you it's not the VP. Do you know anyone with a smarty to pull the codes?

I was checking for codes with a DRB 3, nothing in either ecm's
