Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No Start

Good Day The last few day the truck will crank but will not start. but if I give it a spray of ether it will start right a way. I have codes 216, 217, 230, 341, 1690, and finally 1693. I have replaced the Camshaft position sensor and the truck is still the same and yes I know that the vp44 pump is dead. what could be not letting the truck start? Is it the pump or something else.

Ooooo, sounds like bad news that you already know about. I would say it is VP44 time which could very well be the cause of the no start. To test the VP and bypass all the electronics go to the link below and follow the positive & negative hook-ups in post #4.

I have ordered the new vp44 and it should be here on monday so it will have to be ether to get it working for now. Has anyone used WD40 instead of ether?
