I have a 3 turn Power Steering Services steering gearbox with 23K miles on it (3 years old). It has recently gotten to where it has no feedback feel nor return to center when turning left, it will stay turned where you have it when loosening your grip on the steering wheel. Also, sometimes when you turn left, even slightly, it has a small catch/binding which only occurs after you have driven long enough for it to be warmed up. When turning right it has feedback feel and will return to center with no catch. Is there some adjustment that might correct this or do I just need to replace it?

This is on my 2000 2500 4 wheel drive.

I talked to Chip at Power Steering Services on Wednesday. He had me do some checks. I jacked the truck up to get weight off the wheels. Started the truck and with the wheels centered, started to turn to the left with my finger. The steering took off and turn to full left lock on it's on. Recentered, try the same to the right and it would stop where I would stop turning with my finger. Recentered and tried the left again. Same thing, went to full left stop by itself. Called Chip back. He things one of the teflon seals inside may have ruptured and wants me to send the box back (has lifetime warranty). After I get it off and sent back, I will post results of his findings.
