Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) no throttle

Hey folks, hoppeing you can hel pon this.

On the way to work thismorning, the engine light came on, & engine went to idle.



No throttle responce at all

after shutting the engine off, the throttle came back, but engine light stayed on.



Tried the code check, & got this

P 1693



P ECU

P 0121



SO, whats Dodge gonna say is the problem THIS time?>

P1693 is a companion code, go to AutoZone or somewhere similar and have them read your codes, there may be a hidden one.

As for the 0121 code, it is an APPS code. That would explain why you don't have any pedal.

Try resetting the APPS:

Undo both batteries overnight (24 hours would be optimal if you can) and put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position. Before you reconnect the batteries take the key out of the ignition.

this may help but the code means the voltage to the APPS is too low. Maybe time to replace it.

Yeah, thats usually how it goes. Good luck. If resetting the APPS doesn't do anything, I'd say replace the APPS. Are you still covered under the Cummins warranty?
