Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No Torque Converter Lock Up

I have a 01 4x4 that has Sun Coast triple lock converter. This set up has worked great for the past four + years. Friday afternoon, the torque converter decided that it will no longer lock up. There are no codes. I have read a couple of threads here indicating that it might be anything from batteries to alternator to a bad ground wire. Anyone else had this happen? Batteries and alternator are too expensive to replace just to test.

What's Sun Coast say? Give them a call and see if they have any idea.

They wanted to confirm that the chassis controller is telling the transmission what to do.

Your going to have to have someone with a high end scanner to confirm that.

According to the shop that built the transmission... . without computer control, there's no fourth gear. I assume they are correct. If you mess with the throttle position sensor(accidentally press the throttle while the key is on but the motor is not running) it will screw up the shift points. Once I do it again, but cycle the throttle all the way... the truck shifts correctly.
