Boy, it must have been a bad day in Missouri when they built my new truck. First, the speed control (cruise) doesn't work at all driving home from the dealer. Then, while I'm poking around under the dash to see if there are any unplugged wires that relate to the cruise, I notice there's no blue trailer brake connector plug anywhere! I have the trailer tow package, but can't find the plug. I've had four Dodge diesels and have had no problem locating the blue plug before. It's not taped up, not hanging down - it's nowhere.

Is there somewhere else on the '06 trucks I should look for this plug besides between the column and the E-brake?

I'm thinking I may have bought a lemon.

its there....

if you have the tow package it is there, I swore mine was not either but ended up it was taped high up along side the big connector on the firewall to the left of the big connector block, if you have the hitch you have the connector just have to dig around a bit to find it... .

O. K. , I found it! It was taped WAY up the main harness, behind the dash, away from the main connector where they've always been before. It's so far up I'm having trouble cutting the tape to get at it.

Thanks for having me go back and look places I've never had to before.

I took the truck back to the dealer this morning for the cruise issue and - long story short - I now have a new silver truck. My new white one had a number of issues that were pretty major it turned out, so the General Manager of the dealership backed me out of the deal and gave me another one that works (so far).

I'm a happy guy!

Now, I have to get back up in there and find that stupid plug on this truck. At least I know more places to look.

:D
