I guess I really AM cursed. I just heard from my contact yesterday that USGear won't be able to ship any overdrive units for 6-speeds for at least 16 weeks.

It seems the tailshaft adapters were made incorrectly and all of them are leaking, so they have to retool, and that's a lead time of 16 weeks.

This blows. I was depending on having the thing before my trip to Florida for Christmas. Now I'm cancelling that trip and looking into flying instead. Have I mentioned how much I _hate_ flying??

I didn't cancel the order; I still need the thing...

<sigh>

Rob - I'm driving to Florida for Christmas, you don't need the overdrive we can just convoy and draft off each other all the way out.

Tough luck on the OD.

I just got a deal on some airline tickets via Priceline.com. I hate flying, but for half the cost of a regular round-trip ticket, I made out, and even got a good itenerary (better than I would have gotten had I booked a regular fare too).

At least now I'm saving about $750 over what it'd cost me to drive...

ROB: Cancell out and get a GEARVENDOR O/D unit. About the same price. I have driven both
You should do the same and make the right choice. Just my 2 bitts worth. Good luck.

No thanks, I'll wait for the US Gear. You can't use the GV going down hill against the exhaust brake (it'll burn up the GV), and I've already heard reports of people breaking GV boxes with high-power motors.
