Got off the phone with Peter, they're sending out the 1947-OK, I'm sending back the DD3250 for them to look at. I can't sell the truck the way it is so it's a neccessary evil i suppose. Scheduled to be put in first week of November. We'll see how that goes.
You hit the nail on the head Harvey, i hate to admit it but i'm a little scared. I joined the Air Force to serve my country and ensure stability to start a family and know that they'll be taken care of. Now i'm looking at being returned to a civilian sector that is in shambles. Luckily must of us know why so i won't need to elaborate in a non-political forum. Luckily i'm still young enough to start over, i don't have children to care for yet so I only have my wife and I to take care of and we're both strong willed, hadr working independent people. Both our parents raised us to work hard and not live off the dole. We'll be fine, just need to liquidate some assets and prepare to move. Everybody has to make sacrifices, this might just have to be one of those times.
Got a little off track there, back to the clutch issue:-laf
We'll get the new clutch in, see what happens. Peter and his crew are top notch which shouldn't be a suprise to anybody. I'm so thankful that the TDR has put us members in contact with businesses that put customers first.
I sympathize with your situation. I've been retired from the Navy for many years so am not current with issues of downsizing, medical boards, service connected disabilities, etc. but being forced out of the military short of retirement into the socialist utopia must be scary right now.
I guess if I was in your situation I would be trying to sell off everything but basic needs to get by to complete your degree. Perhaps by the time you graduate the kenyan will be only a bad memory and the economy will be beginning to perk up a little.
