Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Noise dampening material (?) behind rear Club Cab interior side trim

My '96 has three black 4" plastic tubes of insulation material, two short (12"+/-) and one long(24"+/-) laying loose in the void area behind the side trim under the rear window of the Club Cab. Are these for reducing road noise or rear speaker enhancement? What is the proper placement for them?

Thanks Bob, it looked like they were just tossed in there. I was thinging to stand the two short ones up at the ends of the long one. Could these be placed there to dampen the "exhaust drone"?
