Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
new trucks 2003 and up have common rail injection. and computer controlled injectors. the vp44 on older trucks produces 25000plus pounds pressure which opens the injector. the cp4 pump pressure goes to a common rail (high pressure pipe) the injectors are opened by computer and allowes a pre injection of a small amount of fuel before the main injection this reduces the diesel knock that you hear. hope this helps.
I have been running soybean oil for over a year. As far as bio you will see anything from a 5% to 99% mix of plant oils, for example B50= 50/50 mix of bio and #2. B100 is all plant oil and no #2. There is a forum here dedicated to alternative fuels with alot of information on bio diesel.
