OK, this may sound like a dumb question so here it goes. I was considering purchasing two honda EU2000i generators for my fifth wheel. The noise dB rating for ONE generator is 59 dB. I was wondering if you hook TWO in Parallel would the dB rating double or stay the same or increase slightly? I also was wondering if anyone has this setup, or wishes they would have purchased the EU3000is? I know that the EU3000is will run my AC, but not the microwave at the same time (I have tested it). I was thinking if I had the extra 1000 watts I could run both AC and Microwave simultaneously? Does anyone run either of the two setups I have asked about, and what is the pros-cons? Thanks for the help! David

I run 2 eu2000s. The noise when both are running is not much more than one unless the load goes way up. I chose the eu2000 because they are easy to carry and most of the time I only run one.

In eco mode with both the noise isn't noticeable just a few feet away. Under full load they can be heard but as you move away the noise level drops fast. They are very quiet

same here i choose them for the weight issue... but they are louder than i like... . why cant they put a better muffler on them I have no idea!

Running two generators of the same type at the same time should increase the noise level by 3db over the noise level of 1 generator.

I run two EU2000's in parallel. When I use them at the camping area at Texas Motor Speedway I can not hear mine over the wail of all the other non-Honda generators.

I think running two is quieter than running just one because running the single it needs to run faster to produce the same power as the two. That is assuming they are in ECO-mode. When one runs out of gas I need to put my hand on each unit to tell which is running.

In my opinion, the two 2000's will give you more max power, will be easier to transport, will be easier to store, and you can have power in two locations if the need arises.

A buddy of mine is just getting into RVing. He is going with a EU3000 so he can run his air. Now the state of the art has a remote shut off. I am trying to convince him to go that way. I hate to get up after watching TV and go outside to turning off the gen. Cant do that with two EU2000"s
