I have an 01 3500 4x4 6spd w/169K that on 2 cold (27-32) mornings now I have had a noise on start up. The noise lasts a couple of miles down the road before going away. I notice a change in the sound when I turn the wheel, and apply the brakes. There is also a slight vibration in the pedals that goes along with this noise. I have had other mornings just as cold that it doesn't make the noise. I figure that it has to do with some accessory, or idler. Anyone else experience this?

power steering pump most likely. others who have had this problem change the power steering fluid to synthetic . Valvoline or some thing similar.

Take a turkey baster and suck out what ever you can from the power steering pump, then dump in some Valvoline Syn-power, drive it around for a while and repeat. Your noise's will be gone.
