I finally got my pacbrake on, it works great. The only thing is it seems to make much more of a hissing noise than anything else. At idle and under a load braking it does make the exhaust louder but it hisses almost like air brakes relieving for as long as the brake is on. Is this normal or is something funny from the brake. The hissing is coming out of the exhaust pipe, and I don't believe there is any leak from the ebrake at the turbo. Whats up?

The PAC brakes do hiss big time because there is a hole in the butterly valve - don't worry. The BD brake is much more of a growl with the hiss in the background - no hole in the butterly, it's solid. Just my experience with my BD and my bet friends PAC.

This is a normal sound for the Pacbrake. Leave it on in the mornings when you first start it and it will help warm the engine faster as well. You can leave it on all the time and it wont hurt a thing. I have to imitate the sound as Im still saving up for my ebrake. Drves the wife nuts. #ad

The problem is that Mike is spending so much money on windex after making all those sounds he will never be able to afford one.
