Attention: TDR Forum Junkies OK, after my problems with the last couple oil changes, I'm paranoid... thinking I'm hearing noises in my 5600 now...
Listening to the whine in the gear shifter (cupping hand over the knob) yeilds the all familiar whine... no roughness there... I would assume this would transmit any rough bearing noise into the cab... I would hear it here first right??
However, I "think" I'm hearing a low pitched rumble in the cab... push the clutch in, it goes away... leave off the fuel, it goes away... bump in nuetral, it goes away.
But the kicker is, you can't hear it out side... I have riden next to countless miles of Jersey barrier listening to the truck... nothing but tires and exhaust...
Am I losing it? Truck is smooth as glass... I still got to pull some plugs and check fluids for contamination, but short that if the fluids look good... ?
