Hey guys I have a 3rd gen and at highway speeds my drivers side door is a whistle pig(air buffeting ) you can actually see the top of the door sort of flapping.

The problem is real bad on windy days (of course) but also much worse when the heater fan is turned up. Dealer seems to ignore my request for answers. Anybody else have a problem with their doors. It is only the drivers door on mine and my 36000 is coming up quick.

The dealer has the authority to send you to a body shop and have the door adjusted. It's a fairly simple procedure, but needs to be done by a pro. Tell him that you need to do this and he should OK it.

The body shop will have to call the dealer for a PO# and should take care of it for you.

yes i have the same problem. Ive complained to the dealer several times about this problem, but everytime i get the same answer... ..... nothing... ..... They claim they cant reproduce the noise. I said let me drive you to where i hear it everyday and they dont want to go that far (25 miles). I to am very very close to 36K. Its just such a pain in the rear to leave my truck there for the day and get nothing done.

Do a search on windnoise and you'll see several posts reguarding this subject. I went as far as printing these out and showing the no good service writter. did no good.

I got the door seal TSB done which sort of solved the door wearing the seal issue but now I get wind noise and even water dripping on my arm in heavy rain.

Did you get the door seal done?

Do you have a slide in camper? I heard wind buffeting (sp?) can be a problem depending on how much room there is between the camper and cab roof and how far forward it extends.

I had the weatherstrip TSB done after mine started tearing. That's when the dealer told me they would send the truck to the body shop if the strips didn't seal properly. The dealer said it is a simple adjustment but that he prefers to have a body shop do it.

Me Too!!

 Very cool!! I was just going to post on this subject... did a 400 mile roadtrip yesterday into a decent east wind and got VERY tired of the wind noise.

My door is also "flapping" so to speak.

Does anyone have the TSB # for the repair so I can tell my Dealership.

Thanks, Greg
