coming home from florida yesterday my check engine light came on. when it came on my injectors were making alot more noise then normal(i was towing my 30 foot, 10,000lb boat). they were noisy from 1800 to 2200 RPM range. dealer scanned the code and it came up P0148: fuel delivery malfunction. i noticed the increase in injector noise just after i fueled up. i stopped at a rest area and removed the Ramifier, started the truck, then hooked the Ramifier back up. injector noise was back to normal. anyone running a Ramifier or other pressure box and have a situation like this? truck has 4200 miles on it when it happned. the Ramifier is the adjustable one. thanks... james :D

my 05 ram had the same code. p0148. common rail high pressure. it happend twice both times when i was towing about 5k. truck lost power, barely keep it at 40 mph. blew some smoke. stuttered, just ran like crap. i have no performance boxes or anything. when i disconnected from trailer and let truck sit for a little while i would run perfect. after a few starts the engine lite goes out and truck is perfect again... . took to dealer but at that time i had an aftermarket intake on it and they refused to diagnose the problem i figure is it happens again im putting my foot to the floor until somthing blows up and then they have no doubt on what to fix. let me know what u find though.

Interesting

Hey Guys,

As we speak my Buddy is having a Tech ride around with him a few miles from the Dealership because of the exact same issue no boxes completely stock blowing smoke and losing alot of power then after a little it will just clear up ???? Dealer has already change the sensor on the injector pump with no solution. . my buddies is an 05 3500 6 speed 4x4.

I will let uo know what he finds out

I had low, low power last December, loud injector noise and the "fuel delivery error" code. I thought my fuel was gelling. I switched tanks (aux tank), restarted the engine and it ran fine. I thought I had a load of bad fuel.

After much head-scratching I found a fuel line clamp that had snapped in the cold. It was allowing some air to enter the fuel line where I am guessing it gradually accumulated in the fuel canister. Maybe you have air in-leakage somewhere? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge or anything that might be a source of air? It might be worth doing a visual on your fuel lines. Just a thought.
