Has anyone ever experienced noisy (buzzing) ISSPRO boost guages. The boys at PDR let me go through 5 of them today right out of the box and they all buzzed. 0 to 40 psi. Some noisier than others. I'll try the 0 to 60's tomorrow.

I have had a 0-60 Isspro boost guage for 3 plus years. I have always been able to hear the 'buzz' when I am pushing the go pedal.

I still like the Isspro guages better than other brands.

If you ran the solid nylon line from the engine to the gauge, without a rubber section, you will most always get the noise. I ran the line from the guage out thru the firewall, then cut it and put in a 6 inch piece of rubber vaccuum line, then back to the nylon to attach to the engine. Been that way for 6 years now. No noise.

The rubber absorbs vibration that you are now hearing in the gauge. I use a needle valve inline to help smooth mine out.

How do you connect the rubber to the nylon?

I fixed my gauge buzz by drilling and threading a hole in the air inlet elbow rather than using the plug in the head to get boost -- the buzzes are pressure waves in the intake... .

Thanks for the advice boys! I put a 6 inch rubber snubber on the engine side of the firewall and it took about half the "buzz" out of it. Feeling lucky, I then put another 6 inch snubber just behind the guage in the pod. I figure that I got around 80-90% of it out. I can live with the remaining "buzz". With the window down or the radio on, I can't hear it at all.
